Terms of service
Updated: October 18, 2026
These terms cover the Spido website, the car app and the phone app. By using Spido you agree to them, so please read them carefully.
1. What Spido is
Spido is a web app for the Tesla browser: navigation with a Georgian voice, speed cameras, chargers, weather, battery forecasts, engine sound and sending addresses from your phone.
Spido is an independent project and is not affiliated with Tesla, Inc. Tesla is a trademark of its owner.
2. Your account
- Accounts are created with an email, no password: a 6-digit code arrives by email each time you sign in. We ask for your name and phone when you sign up.
- Do not share the code with anyone. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- A car is linked to your account with a QR code or a numeric code. You can unpair it at any time.
3. Beta and pricing
Spido is in beta and free for the first 45 drivers. After you sign up, we confirm your beta place with a phone call: until then you can connect your car, but not use the app. We may decline or withdraw a place. During the beta, features may change, be added or stop working for a while.
A paid Premium plan will come later. We will tell you the price and terms in advance. Nothing is charged automatically: you pay by bank transfer and Premium is switched on once the payment is confirmed.
4. Safety on the road
The road comes first. Spido is an aid and cannot replace the driver’s attention.
- Routes, speed cameras, speed limits, traffic, chargers, weather and battery forecasts may be inaccurate or out of date.
- Always follow road signs, traffic rules and what you see on the road.
- Enter addresses while parked, or ask a passenger. Do not use your phone while driving.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Spido for anything illegal. Do not try to break into the system, use someone else’s account, overload the service or scrape data in bulk. If you do, we will suspend your account.
6. Liability
Spido is provided “as is”. We work to keep it stable, but we cannot promise it will run without interruptions or errors.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by service interruptions or by relying on the app’s data, including fines and incidents on the road.
7. Other services
Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, under the ODbL licence. Music loads from SoundCloud. These services have their own terms. More about data is in the privacy policy.
8. Deleting your account
You can ask us to delete your account at any time. If the terms are broken, we may also suspend or delete an account.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. We will announce important changes on the site or by email. These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia.
